To kick off its 40th year, Polypipe scooped up an award in the Doncaster Business Awards.

Polypipe Building Products was named ‘Large Business of the Year’ as Doncaster Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual business awards. Polypipe was also runner-up in the ‘Excellence in People Development’ category.

The Polypipe team picked up their prize during a ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse, where the judges commending the company’s innovation, diversification and ambitious vision. The panel also recognised Its “significant contributions to Doncaster’s business and education sectors” as well as its work with the wider community.

Cameron McLellan, Divisional Managing Director at Polypipe Residential Systems at Polypipe Building Products, said: “We were delighted to receive this award on behalf of the whole Polypipe family. The judges recognised both the forward-thinking ambition of the company and the commitment to our local community.

“It’s a great way to start the celebrations as we mark Polypipe’s 40th anniversary in 2020.”

On top of its local success Polypipe Building Products is also on the shortlist for the Yorkshire Business Masters for 2020.

Polypipe is in with a chance of winning another Large Business of the Year prize, as well as awards for Innovation and Contributing the Community.
