The business began helping the West Sussex club in the 2009/2010 season by making an annual donation which included sponsoring football kits for the under 8s team.

Southern Sheeting is one of the longest standing sponsors of the club. It will be extending its support in the coming season.

Tony Hobbs, Managing Director at Southern Sheeting, said: “As a business based in East Grinstead we are passionate about supporting our local football club which relies on donations and the hard work of volunteers to provide opportunities for children and adults to enjoy the beautiful game.

“We often supply building materials for major football stadium redevelopments, such as Salford City FC, so helping our local football club is very close to our hearts. We’re looking forward to working closely with the club and helping it provide a lot of joy to the community.

“It’s very important to us at Southern Sheeting to support local charities and organisations where we can.”

The Chairman of East Grinstead Town Football Club, Richard Tramontin, said: “Southern Sheeting is a key local sponsor that has enabled East Grinstead Town Football Club to continue to exist and provide football in the community.

“We are an ambitious club run entirely by volunteers including all of our qualified coaches and we are focussed on developing and progressing youth through the age groups into Isthmian League football.

“Our football, commercial and fundraising activities generally allow the club to operate at breakeven. It has been especially challenging during the pandemic year so we’re very grateful to Southern Sheeting for its continued support. Without the support of local businesses like Southern Sheeting none of this would be possible.”
