ToughBuilt Industries has appointed a National Sales Manager, two National Key Account managers and a new Commercial Manager - Retail.

Tony Spain became ToughBuilt's National Sales Manager in January. He has over 40 years’ experience in the tool industry.

The new national key account managers are Scott Thompson and Stuart Cowling.

Thompson joins ToughBuilt having spent his whole career working in the tool industry. Over the last 30 years, he has held sales roles for Makita, Metabo and Milwaukee. During this time, he has proactively managed the accounts of national retailers, merchants and numerous buying groups.

Cowling boasts a similarly impressive track record. He has worked in the tool industry since 2000. During his career, he has held regional sales and national account management roles with brands including Makita. He is also a time-served engineer and was a tool maker prior to moving into tool sales and account management.

Andrew Hatch meanwhile joins ToughBuilt as its new UK Commercial Manager - Retail. He will oversee and develop ToughBuilt’s business with large retail customers. Hatch brings with him over 20 years of experience gained in the DIY sector with much of this time spent in similar retailer focused roles with globally respected, market leading manufacturers. He previously helped US ladder manufacturer, WernerCo to establish its UK presence.

Commenting on the latest appointments, Vahe Der Kureghian, Managing Director at ToughBuilt (Europe), said: “I am delighted that Scott, Stuart and Andrew have recognised the enormous potential of ToughBuilt products in the UK and Irish markets and have decided to join Tony to complement our team.

“Their appointment is a clear show of intent and, collectively with Tony, they have over 110 years of experience in the building and DIY sector. This has been gained meeting the needs of every type of business and for manufacturers with reputations second to none. We could not be in a better position to meet the needs of customers moving forward.”

ToughBuilt’s latest appointments reflect the company’s continuing success and growth in the UK market, and come following the business’ recent announcement that it is revising its sales and distribution arrangements. As of the 1st March 2021, ToughBuilt is offering stockists the chance to buy from the business direct rather than through wholesale distributors.
