Specialists who are experienced in the Construction Material Distribution Sector and are driven by success.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key customers, as well as identifying and closing new sales opportunities with a broad customer base including Construction Companies, Developers, Housebuilders, Fit Out Companies, Cladding Companies and Roofing Companies.  External Wall Insulation: UK Business Development Manager
  • Selling an External Wall Insulation (EWI) system and associated products to contractors and adjacent customer sectors operating in the fabric first net zero retrofit sector.
  • Full sales cycle responsibility from lead creation to order.
  • Managing sales and profit targets.
  • Primarily new business development.
  • Some management want to maximise opportunities with an existing ledger of customers.
  • Work closely with the Branch Managers and internal sales team to obtain and convert enquiries into orders.
  • Create a strong working relationship with the EWI manufacturer.
  • Exceed customer expectations to become the supplier of choice.

Must Have Attributes.

  • Hunger and determination to obtain revenue streams by sourcing new customer business.
  • Commercially astute with demonstrable record of managing sales and margins.
  • Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following:
  • Experience of selling significant levels (£1m+ annual contractor revenue) of EWI and associated products 
  • In-depth knowledge of the fabric first net zero sector, including funding models, stakeholders, and route to market.
  • Senior stakeholder relationships with social housing providers and/or social housing contractors
  • Senior stakeholder relationships with energy providers and/or their approved network of retrofit installers
  • Strong relationships with an existing network of EWI installers
  • Experience of being accountable for a minimum annual sales budget of £1m p.a.
  • Exemplary work ethic and team player.
  • Strive for excellence in all sales and customer related matters.
  • Strong sales administration disciplines – quote management, CRM system, diary management etc.
  • Self-management to effectively operate in an external sales role with demanding and geographically spread customers.

  • Rises to the challenge of deadlines and a potentially fast-changing commercial landscape.
  • Enjoys the success of achieving ambitious sales and margin targets.
  • Is good at navigating multiple and complex stakeholders involved in the buying decision.
  • Drive, enthusiasm, competitive (but not at any cost).
  • Can demonstrate initiative in prior roles.
  • Tenacious for the sale.
  • Capable of adding commercial value at an early stage.

 

Salary: Up to £50,000, company car, laptop, pension, mobile phone, 21 days holiday, Monthly and 1/4ly commission: £16,000 OTE up to £34,000 for stretch targets (annualised).

Area: National with focus on central England
