The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has welcomed another high profile supplier into membership, with Hanson Cement joining the Federation from 1 February.
Hanson Cement’s packed product range includes cements and specialist cements, ready to use concretes and mortars, asphalts, base and decorative aggregates and conservation products. These include the Multicem, Quickcem, Postfix, Fast Set Postfix and Roadrepair brands.
Part of the Heidelberg Cement Group, Hanson Cement operates three cement manufacturing plants, one ready to use packing plant and 10 packed aggregate sites in the UK. In response to market growth, the company recently invested in a new Multicem plastic packing plant at its Padeswood cement works in North Wales to keep up with demand and provide a stable source of supply.
Keith Ellis, Hanson’s commercial director, said: “Joining the BMF is a natural step for us. We aim to make it easy for customers to do business with us and this brings us closer to an important customer group. It is another important link for our dedicated sales and marketing team who support the builders’ merchants market.”
