Velux has established a partnership with TrustMark to help consumers find trusted installers when looking to carry out installations on their properties.

The Velux Certified Installer Partnership will enable certified installers to apply for TrustMark status so that homeowners using the TrustMark postcode search facility can find them. All Velux certified Installers who join TrustMark will now carry the TrustMark badge to give additional protection and reassurance to their customers.

Richard McArthur, marketing manager at Velux, said: “TrustMark is the only government-endorsed quality scheme for tradesmen, and having this stamp of approval will give customers the confidence to engage an installer they know they can trust. Partnering up with TrustMark is a huge endorsement for the way we manage installations and is a mark that our certified installers can show the customer, proving that they have been properly assessed and inspected and will work to government-endorsed standards.”

Simon Ayers, chief executive at TrustMark, added: “This partnership with Velux will not only help consumers make more informed decisions when hiring tradespeople to install their roof windows, but it will also raise the standard of workmanship. TrustMark provides homeowners with the reassurances they are looking for and the confidence that they are working with tradespeople who the best in the business.”

The TrustMark scheme operator license was awarded in January 2015 to VELUX following a thorough assessment of all its processes for vetting and inspecting installers as well as its customer service policies, compliance audits, quality management and complaint handling procedures.
