BERKSHIRE: Glow-worm has opened its latest Training Centre of Excellence in Slough to serve installers, merchants, specifiers, social and private housing developers in London and the southern counties.
The centre houses Glow-worm products – the Ultracom, Ultrapower and Flexicom high efficiency boiler and control ranges, Clearly Solar and the new Clearly Heat Pumps and Clearly Heat Recovery products.
Slough joins Bristol, Elland (near Huddersfield) and Belper (near Derby), as the fourth Centre of Excellence alongside satellite centres within colleges and selected training providers across the UK and Eire.
The Centre of Excellence is adjacent to the national motorway network to London and the South East, South West and the Midlands. (1.5 miles from the M4 (J6/7), 5miles from the M40 (J2) and 6 miles from the M25).
Said Ross Tuckey, head of training for the company: "Our aim is to give our customers access to Glow-worm quality training within 1 to 1.5 hours' travelling time from their home or place of work."
At the Slough Centre, installers will receive 'hands-on' training on the latest high efficiency boilers and renewable products. "Installers can choose from a range of courses, safe in the knowledge that they will be receiving quality training and not a sales presentation – all in plush, comfortable surroundings designed to maximise their investment in time," Mr Tuckey added.
