Champion Timber is set to open its 10th branch in Weybridge, Surrey, on 28 June.

Marking the opening with a day of celebration, customers will be provided with complimentary refreshments from a vintage style burger van and free goody bags.

The new branch will carry large stocks and vast ranges of both softwood and hardwood timber, plywood, MDF sheets and mouldings, decking and flooring.

Special raffle tickets will be available over the first week of opening with the first prize being a VIP driving experience at Mercedes-Benz Brooklands. Proceeds from the sale of the tickets will be donated to Shooting Star Chase, a children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet and sponsor yard sales manager, Kraig Seymour, who is taking part in two extreme challenges over the summer to raise extra funds for Shooting Star Chase. Mr Seymour will be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, as well as doing a parachute jump.

Between 4.00pm and 6.00pm on 28 June, branch manager Kevin Simper will officially open the branch with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Mr Simper, Mr Seymour and the team at the new Weybridge branch will be on hand to answer any customer questions, while the Champion’s Angels, a fleet of branded trikes, will also be parked up at the branch to hand out branded goodies. Event attendees can also have their photo taken with them.

Mike Bird, director of marketing at Champion Timber, said: “We are all very proud of our brand and opening our 10th branch is a great achievement. We would like to invite all tradespeople along to our special event to see the variety of unrivalled quality timber sold by Champion. There will also be special discounts during the whole week too.”

The new Weybridge branch can be found at: Unit A303, Brooklands Industrial Estate, Vickers Drive, Weybridge, KT13 0YU.
