KENT: Marley Plumbing & Drainage received positive feedback from its recent merchant customer survey. Ninety-three per cent of merchants surveyed agreed that order or invoice queries were resolved quickly, while 115 out of 118 merchants felt that product queries were dealt with efficiently.

Over half of the participating merchants said they had benefited from Marley product training.

Merchants were asked to rate Marley across categories that ranged from customer service to delivery performance and technical abilities.

Particular recognition was given to the courtesy of Marley's staff, in addition to their product knowledge, which was widely praised. Other areas noted were the friendliness of Marley's drivers and the ability to answer questions quickly and efficiently.

Paul Hunter of Sydenhams, Building Supplies and Timber Importers - an independent merchant based in the South of England with nine branches - said: "The sales representative covering our area is probably one of the best in the building trade. He was named as the company rep of the year by all our branches within Sydenhams."

Alex Young of PDM Killmarnock, a plumbing and drainage merchant and a supplier of above and below ground drainage, pressure pipeline products and other civil engineerng materials, commented: "Our area representative is in a different class, he is always on hand to help us with any problem we incur and is easily contacted and very helpful."

As a reward for taking the time to fill out the survey, merchants were given the opportunity to win one of 10 sat-nav systems.
