Graham Plumbers’ Merchant will be hosting a Dragon Boat Race later this week to raise funds for Barnardo's.

The Dragon Boat Race will be held at Draycote Water Sailing Club, near Rugby, on Saturday (22 September). Participants will include staff from Graham and parent company Saint-Gobain and their families, as well as suppliers, customers and agencies.

Barnardo’s is the UK’s largest children’s charity, and aims to change the lives of children and young people throughout the country who need help the most. Graham will be raising money to help develop two of its initiatives: Gap Homes and Future Place. Gap Homes is focused on transitional homes for care leavers, while Future Place is a skills training academy that provides 16- to 25-year-olds, who have left the care system, with training and pastoral support.

Samantha Canfield, Marketing Manager at Graham, said: “This is a first for Graham, as the company has never held a Dragon Boat Race before. We are delighted to be hosting an event that will not only raise money for a deserving charity but will also be an excellent chance for Graham and Saint-Gobain colleagues, along with suppliers and agencies, to get to know one another in an environment that is just a little bit different from the average working day.”
