MARLOW: Ryobi Power Tools, one of the UK’s chief power tool manufacturers, has signed DIY star Craig Phillips as its new ambassador for the brand.

Mr Phillips, who shot to fame after winning the first series of Big Brother and donated his entire winnings to charity, is firmly established in the DIY world, having built on his background in construction and appearances in popular DIY television shows including 60-Minute Makeover, Big Strong Boys and Trading Up.

Working with Ryobi across media and promotional work, Mr Phillips will be associated with the many new products under the Ryobi brand. "As a trusted and respected DIY expert with over 20 years building and DIY knowledge, Craig will be attending events and exhibitions to educate the public on the best tools and techniques to use for the job at hand," said Tom Reid, head of brands and communications at Ryobi.

"Craig will also be using Ryobi Power Tools on 60-Minute Makeover, and further television appearances on shopping channels and will support Ryobi in charity-related activities."

“Ryobi’s tools have always been a favourite of mine, and I’m really pleased to be given the opportunity to promote the brand day to day," Mr Phillips explained.
