LONDON: Charlie Mullins, owner of celebrity-favourite Pimlico Plumbers, is talking to American-born millionaire Jim Zockoll to sell a minority stake of the business.
If the plan to raise £25m goes ahead, the cash would be used to expand the business nationwide, Mr Mullins stated.
Jim Zockoll founded British cleaning business Dyno-Rod before selling it to British Gas for £57m in 2004.
Pimlico Plumbers reported a rise in sales for the year to the end of March of £12.6m, compared to £11.9m the previous year.
Mr Mullins said the increase was chiefly due to existing customers calling on the company's range of home maintenance services.
