LONDON: Kingfisher, owner of B&Q is a finalist in the 2010 Business Commitment to the Environment Environmental Leadership Awards.

The award scheme is the UK's longest running environmental awards scheme and is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.

 

The 15 finalists range from large plcs to SMEs and demonstrate how environmental leadership can produce substantial benefits irrespective of business size.

Sir Anthony Cleaver, BCE Awards president said: "Their submissions demonstrate a real commitment to integrating environmental improvements into their businesses. They have all reduced their impact on the environment as a result and have often made substantial cost savings. It is an inspiring and innovative list of projects."

The BCE Awards winners will be announced on 8 June. Previous winners include winners including Bovis Lend Lease, Innocent Drinks, ASDA, Unilever, M&S, Rolls-Royce, Ford Motor Co and the Co-operative Group.
