BRISTOL: Lafarge Plasterboard has launched a competition in partnership with builders' merchants across the UK to offer one customer the chance to win a new kitchen or bathroom.

‘Clean Up in 2010’ centers around GTEC Aqua Board, Lafarge’s gypsum based solution for wet area applications. Customers who purchase any GTEC Aqua Board System from any Lafarge stockist will automatically be entered into the prize draw to win a kitchen or bathroom courtesy of Lafarge.

GTEC Aqua Board is a gypsum based board for use in high humidity and wet areas for both internal and external applications. It can be used as a tile backing board or can simply be painted, giving the user extra flexibility in designing their bathroom, kitchen or wet room.

GTEC Aqua Board has significant benefits over traditional alternatives such as cement particle boards. Firstly, it is lighter and therefore easier to handle. It is also easy to cut; simply treat as normal plasterboard, score and snap. And because it is gypsum based there is no need to worry about excessive dust. To fix, there is no pre drilling required and users can simply use drywall screws.

The competition runs up until 31 December 2010.
