BIRMINGHAM: The Kings Heath Gardeners Weekend has been renamed the Birmingham Garden Show following a sponsorship deal with B&Q.

B&Q's sponsorship rescued the flower show: earlier in the year it was rumoured the show would not take place in Kings Heath Park because of Birmingham council cutbacks.

The event attracts visitors and exhibitors from the Midlands and this year will feature Birmingham council's award winning garden from the Chelsea Flower Show part-designed by former Kings Heath Park boss Mike Hinton.

The garden, called 'Road to Recovery' was also seen at the Royal Horticultural Society's Gardeners World Live 2010.
