LONDON: New figures show construction output slightly up on previous figures.

The Office for National Statistics said construction output fell by 1.1% on the quarter in the first three months of the year, a smaller decline than the 1.6% drop shown in GDP data on July 12.

On the new basis, the volume of construction output in May was £8.262bn on a non-seasonally adjusted basis; in April, it was £8.085bn. The revision could marginally boost overall economic growth in the first three months of the year.
