NORTHAMPTON: The turn-around time for heating spare parts has just got shorter with the launch of City Heating Spares by the Travis Perkins Group, the new super-fast heating spares brand.
City Heating Spares is a completely new business set up following intensive customer research with heating engineers.
Ian Tillotson, group spares director, commented: “Customers told us they want expert staff with thousands of parts available the same day, or first thing the next day. When a boiler fails, engineers need parts in a hurry to restore heat and hot water and maintain good customer service. That's how it is in the heating trade – the end customer is desperate and it's our customers who get the flak if they can't get the spares on time.”
With clear, consistent and competitive pricing on thousands of parts in stock, City Heating Spares staff can identify and deliver the parts that customers need, when they need them. “On the rare occasion we don't have the part in stock at branch but in central distribution, if it’s ordered by 5pm we guarantee to have it ready for collection by 8am the next morning,” concludes Mr Tillotson.
Separate City Heating Spares dedicated trade counters will be situated within existing City Plumbing Supplies branches around the country. The Travis Perkins Group is rapidly expanding its spares offer and already has ten branches up and trading from Southampton to Aberdeen and is aiming for a further 20 by the end of the year.
