WEST SUSSEX: Unimer’s strategy to continually offer further business benefits to its merchant members now includes sales and marketing opportunities to target the self-build and renovating market. The organisation will be therefore be exhibiting at the forthcoming Home Improvement Show at Earls Court on the 1-3 October 2010.

Suzanne Millward, marketing manager at Unimer explains: “We always look at added-value services to further support our members and believe the National Home Improvement Show is a route to market for our almost 1000 members.

"Given the recent tough housing market, the self-build and renovating market is growing at a steady rate, with home owners actively engaging in home improvement projects, so this should present an ideal opportunity to promote our membership to the exhibition visitors.”

Unimer is pleased to join this growing event, where the company will be providing a Unimer Pavilion (with full hospitality) where merchants are invited to exhibit and take their customers and prospects for refreshments and more in-depth discussions on their project requirements.

Concludes Ms Millward: “We will be promoting all our independent merchants to the visitors at the show, and provide them with full details of members who can supply materials in their particular area. We have an extensive merchant membership base, so we most certainly will have the ‘ideal’ merchant that the show visitor might be looking for. We are very keen to progress our involvement in the renovating and self-build market, so in addition to the National Home Improvement Show we will offer more opportunities for merchants to target prospective buyers at further shows in 2011.”
