LEICESTER: Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete UK, has a new man at the helm of its Aggregates division.

Emmanuel Rigaux, 38, joins the UK team, following the move of Robert Whetstone, former managing director Aggregates, to Lafarge’s operation in the Eastern US.

Mr Rigaux has been with Lafarge since 1999 after a short stint in management consulting.

He started with Group audit for three years before moving to the US with his family in 2002, first as a director of land based in Denver, then as an area general manager based in Kansas City.

Safety was always his top priority, especially with the responsibility for two underground mines.

Mr Rigaux's most recent position was as head of Development for AC France. He was also head of various central functions including Public Affairs and Environment, Communication and Mineral Resources.
