LONDON: Shoppers at B&Q along with several other large retailers faced chaos on Saturday after a computer glitch left them unable to pay using debit or credit cards for their shopping.

Long queues formed tills refused to accept debit or credit cards following the computer malfunction.

B&Q, Waitrose, Homebase and Argos, Morrisons and Sainsbury's were among other stores names affected from about 2pm on Saturday

Tesco said that it had no reports of problems with its payments system, despite rumours.
