BOLTON: Recycling business Toughsheet Building Products has secured a £1m contract with Buildbase to supply Toughsheet Enviro Membrane.

The contract is the latest in a line for Toughsheet that include contracts with B&Q, Travis Perkins and Jewson.

Toughsheet posted a turnover of £6.9m for the year to April, and director Doug Mercer believes it can hit its target of growing to £10m within three years.

Mr Mercer said: "We are delighted to have won this contract with Buildbase, which is widely regarded as one of the fastest growing builders' merchants in the UK."

The company started manufacturing refuse sacks, before making damp-proof membranes and other sheeting materials for the building industry from recycled materials.
