LONDON: Brick showed that it is still the building material of choice for Britain's leading architects after it featured prominently in the 2010 RIBA Stirling Prize shortlist.

Three out of the six finalists for the prize used brick in their building's design, with one of the projects, Christ's College School by Architect DSDHA, using Ibstock bricks.

As one of the largest corporate supporters of RIBA, Ibstock has been working with the organisation for many decades to highlight the versatility and beauty of brick in building design.

Andrew Halstead-Smith, marketing manager at Ibstock, commented: "We have always been a major supporter of RIBA and we were thrilled that some of these outstanding buildings were built with brick, including one made with our brick, which is great news."
