WORCESTER: Eighty-year-old Spicers (Builders) ceased trading with the loss of 50 jobs.
Nick Weaver, managing director of the company told staff the company had run out of work and was unable to finance its debts. It has gone into voluntary liquidation.
Neil Hickling, director of insolvency at Smith and Williamson, said he was aiming to sell Spicers' one outstanding contract to another contractor to recoup some money.
