LEIGHTON BUZZARD: Following a move to spacious new offices in October this year, Pitacs has introduced a new distribution system for its Ultraheat and Aeon radiator brands.
The new warehouse facilities are fully digital ensuring maximum efficiency, speed and reliability for customers.
Factory deliveries are unloaded inside the 100 000sqft warehousing facility situated behind the glass-fronted office in Milton Keynes. The barcoded pallets are taken straight from the lorries to their designated area in the 9m high warehouse and the exact position of the pallet/consignment is scanned and logged onto the Pitacs system.
When an order is taken, whether for a single item or several dozen, the information and position of each item is fed straight to screens on the fork lift trucks, making the picking process simple and efficient.
