ESSEX: IronmongeryDirect, has expanded its team with the appointment of four new product managers.

Matthew Allen, Jamie Johnson, Jennifer King and Martin Smith will support the product growth strategy with plans to increase the portfolio from 11 500 to 20 000 lines within five years.

Collectively the team will be responsible for monitoring market needs and customer requirements, taking into account future technology and industry developments as well as monitoring the changing requirements of building legislation.

The company started as a family-run ironmongery shop in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex 40 years ago, and the personal service ethos is still at the heart of the business. Staff at IronmongeryDirect are trained to Guild of Architectural Ironmongery (GAI) industry standards.
