CRICKLEWOOD: Jewson has hosted a visit by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. Nick Clegg visited Jewson’s Cricklewood branch in North London as part of his ‘Alarm Clock Britain’ campaign. He arrived early in the morning to meet the branch staff and take a tour of the branch.

Area director for Jewson, Mike Lamb hosted the visit. “We were able to show Mr Clegg the important building materials that are integral to the sustainability of modern construction,” he explained. “Timber and insulation materials were among the ranges that we toured. It is these products that are being supplied to local developers, housebuilders and contractors in order to help reduce the carbon emissions from both new and existing buildings.

"The visit was also an opportunity to explain the Jewson business to Mr Clegg in more depth and he took time to speak to the staff individually about their work.”

The early morning start aimed to highlight the Liberal Democrat’s Alarm Clock Britain campaign spearheaded by Nick Clegg, which recognises the many people who work long hours and help drive the economy.
