STONE: The UK’s newest distributor of architectural ironmongery, Owlett-Architectural, is celebrating after two members of its internal sales team passed the first stage of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongery (GAI) 3-year Diploma course with flying colours.
Internal sales team leader Sara-Jayne Armstrong and sales administrator Lucy Wright gained the (GAI) attainments following nine months of intense study.
The course is the only recognised programme in the UK that leads to a qualification in Architectural Ironmongery industry. Sara-Jayne and Lucy earned a distinction and a credit respectively in the first level of a three year course.
Owlett-Architectural recognises the vocational aspirations of its staff and encourages development and education to ensure that the potential of each individual is reached.
Graham Sims, commercial manager at Owlett-Architectural, said: “We take investment in training our staff very seriously. By gaining the GAI Diploma, Sara-Jayne and Lucy are able to understand the specific needs and requirements of our customers. We are delighted with their achievements and wish them well in their continuing studies.”
