SOUTH WEST: Bradfords Building Supplies is working with other industry partners in sponsoring and delivering a major new green and low carbon training initiative which will prove to be a great business opportunity for the local builder.

Bradfords has teamed up with key national construction industry organisations offering free training sessions across the South West region. This will then be rolled out nationally.

Organised by a partnership inclusive of Local Authority Building Control (LABC), Constructing Excellence South West, BRE, and HSE who deal with the health and safety requirements in the workplace, the Cornish seminar will be held at The Dragon Centre in Bodmin on 16 February 2011.

The series of one day training seminars being rolled out across the South West region will provide updates for small builders on important legislation updates with the opportunity to meet experts in each of their individual fields and to share information and concerns with associates in their industry.

Mike Tidmarsh, sales and marketing executive for Bradfords Building Supplies, says: "This is an essential annual update on building regulations changes which will open up a wealth of business opportunities for smaller building companies in Cornwall who are very much hands on working on site without the full back up in the office.

"We are very excited to be part of this scheme as part of an ongoing commitment to add value to the high quality service we offer our loyal client base. This is an unmissable opportunity for local builders to get some free training from industry experts to keep them up to date with the ever changing regulations.

"Attendees will gain the essential knowledge required to advise their customers on the benefits of using the latest building materials including conserving energy and reducing water consumption."
