LOUGHBOROUGH: Customers of builders’ merchant MPS are set to benefit from expert product knowledge and quality advice after Polypipe Civils provided hands-on training to MPS staff from across its four branches.
Eight MPS employees, including branch managers and internal sales personnel, took part in drawing take-off training where they were briefed on the Polypipe products stocked by MPS. They also undertook a practical class in assembling Polypipe’s Polystorm modular cells, gaining knowledge which can be imparted back to their customers.
Dale Potts, sales and operations director at MPS said: “At MPS, we pride ourselves not only on the range and quality of the products we stock, but also our customer service. A practical training session like this is invaluable to us in terms of the product knowledge we gain and ensures we are best placed to offer our customers the right advice. It was particularly interesting to learn more about the application of the Polystorm products as they’re a popular choice with our customers. ”
John Moss, business development director at Polypipe Civils commented: “It’s a benefit to all involved that our distribution partners know as much about the products and solutions as possible so as to be in a position to advise potential customers. MPS expressed an interest in training and we were more than happy to oblige – all the delegates were very enthusiastic at the sessions and I think everyone enjoyed the day and took away some worthwhile information.”
