ONLINE: Merchant industry product knowledge training is back with the launch today of BMF Campus, the industry’s on-line learning portal.
BMF Campus is an on-line learning resource to meet the needs of merchants at every stage of their industry career.
Over 100 individual product knowledge modules are available from launch, with more and more being added. Merchant staff can learn about anything from stocking lead to specifying wall-boards; from understanding how a condensing boiler works to calculating how much space a staircase will take up. All in an easily-accessible on-line format which allows the learner to proceed at his or her own pace. But which also has the rigor to give employers confidence that genuine learning has taken place.
“The merchant industry and its suppliers have always looked to the BMF to provide high-quality product knowledge training,” says BMF managing director Chris Pateman. “Developing our Product Knowledge courses into on-line learning is a natural progression to fit the needs of the latest generation of learners.”
Pricing of Campus is designed to be highly cost effective. As a special launch offer, the full range of product-knowledge training modules will be available to all BMF members, for as many employees as they wish, until the end of 2011, for only £295. This special offer is exclusively available to BMF Member companies. Alternatively companies can sign up an individual employee for a specific course of product training containing a representative range of modules, for a one off charge of £125.00 for BMF Members.
BMF Campus is available to non-members and prices are available on the BMF website.
As Campus progresses over the coming months, it will include learning resources and background reading for students on the BMF’s NVQ / SVQ Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeship programmes, for BMF Diploma students and for undergraduates on industry Foundation Degree programmes.
