BIRMINGHAM: The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) is to embark on a new member services programme, starting with the launch of a new website, scheduled for the spring. It has appointed marketing and communications agency, Brookes & Co to help it fulfil its plans.

BHETA’s director of DIY, Peter Stone explained the move. “Trade associations need to do more than just represent the membership; they need to provide members with added value services that justify membership.

"BHETA is planning new products and services based on collective buying power as well as improved legal, financial and marketing support and we need a more interactive, destination website to act as the hub of the offering. The new website will also be the centre of a new communications campaign, both to members and on behalf of members, ensuring that we can be viewed as a dynamic part of the industry.”

Housewares director, Will Jones added, “The launch of a new BHETA website is an exciting development and gives us the opportunity to provide members with a fast and modern approach to accessing information they need for their business. Once we have the new programme in place we will also be able to start a drive on the recruitment of new members to strengthen BHETA still further, so we have a lot of activity planned. We are therefore delighted to have home and garden specialist, Brookes & Co on board to help us achieve our aims.”
