LONGBRIDGE: EH Smith is building up to some exciting changes at its Longbridge branch next week.
After 89 years, the privately owned family merchant, well known for its large blue lorries laden with bricks, blocks, sand and cement, is branching out into plumbing and heating materials for the very first time.
To celebrate the launch of the new venture, EH Smith is holding a special launch week event. Local tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts alike are invited to come to the existing Longbridge branch, see the new plumbing and heating ranges, and most importantly enjoy the fun and games onsite.
The launch week will be far from business as usual for the expanding Longbridge builders merchant. Free bacon butties, supplier demonstrations, limited low price offers, giveaways, not to mention a special lucky dip with over £3000 of spot prizes to be won.
“There’ll be something for everyone who visits the launch week,” commented branch manager, Nick Perks. “No one will leave empty handed. The plumbing and heating manufacturers have been especially brilliant in helping us with one-off special offers and giveaways for the week. Hopefully people from the local community will want to come down and see what we are doing and celebrate with us.”
