POWYS: SCA Timber Supply's Monday morning started badly, when a sideloader vehicle caught fire. The local Welshpool fire brigade arrived promptly before 5am. 

There were no injuries or significant property damage. The fire did however result in some smoke damage within the factory where the vehicle was parked, including some light damage to computer equipment on the machinery.

SCA operations director Jonathan Bower, said: "We are pleased to report that we are able to continue operations from the site with minimal disruption and are grateful to the help received from the fire brigade in tackling this incident. SCA Timber Supply takes safety seriously and we are investigating the cause of this incident."
