STAFFORDSHIRE: PTS has won a major contract to supply sanitaryware to the hotel at the Drayton Manor Theme Park.

Sanitaryware and fittings will be supplied for the luxury hotel's 150 bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom in addition to other facilities including extensive conferencing and banqueting rooms, two restaurants, a coffee show and a crèche. PTS will supply products from Roca.

Maxine Frost, PTS' sales director for contract business said: "Providing all the shower enclosures, baths and basins for such an iconic tourist destination like Drayton Manor is a sign of PTS's continued growth and strong relationships with installers UK-wide.

"The new hotel complex at Drayton Manor is sure to provide a positive boost to the tourism industry in the Midlands. It is set to be a high specification development and PTS is proud to be part of its construction.

The mechanical services contractor, Birmingham-based JS Wright, is installing the sanitary ware together with the air conditioning, heating and ventilation, and hot and cold water services, and plumbing all the bathrooms and kitchens.

After many years of planning, the construction of Drayton Manor's three-storey hotel began in September 2010 and is due to be completed this summer. Designed to blend in with the leisure venue's woodland setting, the building incorporates two wings bridged by a central atrium.

The new facilities will offer two Thomas the Tank Engine themed rooms to compliment the park's Thomas Land, two presidential suites and four 'super rooms' that can be easily converted to suit couples or families.
