CHATTERIS: Local merchants Ridgeons, Travis Perkins and Chatteris DIY Centre have supplied materials for volunteers who helped Chatteris Cricket Club get ready for the new season by giving their ground a spring clean.
Last Saturday's effort was part of the country-wide NatWest CricketForce initiative, which saw members and local businesses pitch in to maintain their local cricket club. Volunteers helped paint the pavilion, put up practice nets, tidy the patio and clear the hedge cuttings.
