COVENTRY: Timber promotional campaign Wood for Good is to take a leading role as a gold sponsor at the Timber Expo exhibition.

Wood for Good's presence at Timber Expo is in partnership with the Forestry Commission and the Scottish Forest and Timber Technologies Advisory Group.

John Kissock, Wood for Good chairman said: "In order to drive the use of timber in the UK, we need to create a regulatory environment that promotes the use of wood, and generates demand amongst audiences such as architects, contractors, engineers and builders merchants."

"By working together we hope to raise the profile of timber in Scotland, and all over the UK."

Wood for Good's support follows the backing of the Builders' Merchants Federation and the UK SIP Association.

Timber Expo runs from 27-28 September at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
