COVENTRY: Graham, one of the UK's top plumbers' merchants, has launched the TMV2 in-line mixing valve through its Altech range in a bid to help make compliance with Part G of the Building Regulations more accessible – and affordable.

The decision to launch the WRAS and Buildcert-approved thermostatic mixing valve coincides with Housing Minister Iain Wright’s announcement or enhanced hot water safety and water efficiency measures for all new homes regarding Part G of the Building Regulations. These measures will come into force in October 2009.

Ian Kenny, commercial director at Graham, said: "Hot water efficiency and safety are no longer aspirational industry goals. From October, they will be essential in ensuring compliance with Building Regulations throughout England and Wales. The Altech TMV2 product not only meets Part G but provides a quality product at a price that reflects the current climate."

The Altech range is now available throughout Graham's entire UK branch network. The current product range includes heating controls, valves, end feed, solder ring and compression fittings.
