UK: The first three cyclists taking part in the Donaldson charity cycle ride departed Ashford, Kent yesterday supported by suppliers and staff.

Donaldson non-executive director Alan Sinclair will be cycling the entire 2000 kilometres which is planned to take place over 18 days.

He departed the Donaldson Timber Ashford branch accompanied by Jeremy English and Anthony Burridge of Crown Timber. The first pit stop last night was in Horsham, with Andover in their sights today. 23 branches will be visited, with Levin, Fife the final destination.

The event is in support of Columba 1400.
