WHETSTONE: Lawsons were founded in 1921 by the great grandfather of current chairman, Simon Lawson, and will be celebrating its 90th Anniversary Year by holding a 'Charity Fun Day' in each of its 13 branches on Friday 8 July 2011.
The company will be running a series of fundraising events on the day and selling various charity branded products and merchandise all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Events include:
- Darts competition
- Guess the mileage / food eating challenge
- Throwing wet sponges at directors (in stocks)
- Barbeque
- Managing director concert (at Whetstone branch)
