HARROGATE: The sight of a 1000cc superbike at the Institute of Housing annual conference and exhibition in Harrogate attracted a great deal of interest.
The bike was on loan from the Buildbase BMW Superbike team and was a powerful draw to increase footfall on the Grafton Merchanting GB stand which was promoting its supply chain solutions partnering services through merchanting brands, namely Buildbase, Plumbase and Jackson Building Centres.
“The other exhibitors were giving away pens and mugs, but we had a much more appealing exhibit,” said partnering manager, John Chesworth. “Visitors just couldn’t resist the chance to sit on this impressive superbike and get their colleagues to take a photo. We had the bike on the stand at last year’s show and it was a great success then, so we thought we’d repeat the exercise.”
