DROITWICH SPA: Building products professional Steve Zouch has joined AKW as UK sales director. Reporting directly to the Group chief executive, he has become a member of the Group Executive Board.
Steve Zouch joins AKW, the UK’s leader in showering, daily living and kitchen solutions for elderly and disabled, after 12 years in senior roles with Valliant Group, where he was UK sales and marketing director and Baxi Group, where he recently held a position of UK commercial director.
Announcing his appointment, AKW chief executive Paul Massey said: “Steve brings with him a wealth of building products experience and achievements with world-class businesses. With his background and sales management expertise, I believe that Steve will make a major contribution to the continuing growth of the company.”
The appointment follows recent restructuring of AKW’s sales and marketing structure which form part of the group’s 2011 to 2014 continuous improvement plan. In a role which is described as ‘strategically important’ he will head AKW’s senior sales management team.
Giving his reaction to his appointment, Mr Zouch said: “I am very excited to be joining AKW at this pivotal point in its development. The company has recently launched a new brand identity and new customer communication campaigns which are designed to position the company as the supplier of choice in the special needs market.”
