LONDON: Pimlico Plumbers, whose customers include Dame Helen Mirren and Daniel Craig, has achieved record sales of £16m for the year to June.
Founder Charlie Mullins who started the company in 1979 with a van and a bag of tools said this increase is due to repeat business and to the company’s new services, such as its locksmith operations.
He added that the company had seen a scaling back in larger bathroom and kitchen installations, but had experienced a surge in maintenance and repair projects.
The firm’s secret, Mr Mullins explained, was that unlike some larger operators, Pimlico Plumbers was able to adapt quickly to market changes.
