UK: Installers visiting the Renewables Roadshow, powered by Plumb Center, are in with a chance of winning a new eco-friendly car.

Visitors to the event, which is touring the UK, will have the opportunity to get face-to-face with dozens of exhibitors, all of whom have a direct connection with the renewables industry, collecting points along the way to earn their place in a prize draw to win the car, courtesy of Plumb Center.

The Renewables Roadshow will stop at six major venues during September, giving installers access to a comprehensive exhibition and seminar experience in just one day. And, as the venues are located throughout the UK installers should be able to attend the show at a convenient location, cutting down their travelling distance and time off the tools.

At each venue there will also be four jargon busting theatres which will provide around 21 practical demonstrations and presentations throughout the day. In the Solar-Ready Theatre visitors will get the opportunity to see live and interactive demonstrations of solar panels being fitted to a low level roof structure. The Commercial Theatre will focus on making commercial renewables pay and experts in the Training Theatre will consider what the road to MCS accreditation looks like. And, in the Zero Jargon Theatre the emphasis will be on simplifying grants, legislation & regulations.

Plumb Center will be showcasing its new training facilities with BPEC and its training partner Sevenoaks Energy Academy. Visitors will be able to find out more about the 13 BPEC accredited renewables courses Plumb Center offer at their three training centres, with more opening throughout the rest of 2011. They will also be able to sign up for courses, taking advantage of special Renewables Roadshow offers.

The Roadshow’s visit to the Ricoh Arena, Coventry will coincide with the Renewables Awards, a new event which has been launched to recognise the ground-breaking work by installers within the industry. The Renewables Awards will reward individuals and initiatives, as well as recognising projects and products. Plus, the overall ‘Renewables Installer of the Year’ will be rewarded with a massive £10 000 prize on the night – courtesy of Plumb Center.
