CAMBRIDGE: Ridgeons has launched the Green Light Brochure, a definitive guide to the Code for Sustainable Homes and Modern Methods of Construction, which has been designed as a comprehensive, practical source of information for architects and building contractors.

The Green Light Brochure covers all the mandatory elements of the Code for Sustainable Homes: energy, water, building materials, surface water run-off and waste.

The guide provides a comprehensive description of product categories, for example, a heat pump with underfloor heating or PV panels and outlines the products which can be used to achieve the required Code level.

'Ridgeons Recommends' features throughout the brochure as a simple quick reference box-out that highlights key considerations or products that will enhance a property, both in terms of its functionality and its sustainability.

Ridgeons' BREEAM qualified sustainability expert, Dave Jordan, said: "We have spent considerable time making sure the Green Light Brochure is the industry go-to guide for sustainable building advice. We recognise that things can change at a rapid pace within the industry and to ensure that our customers are kept up to date with legislation and new products, we will also be publishing a quarterly Green Light magazine."
