NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS: Jump, Jade's mobility software platform, helps CCF, part of the Travis Perkins Group, meet the demands of its key account customers by providing real-time visibility of CCF's delivery process, providing a distinct competitive advantage.

"One of our key objectives at CCF is to exceed customer expectations. The Jump solution helps us to achieve this by offering our customers an unrivalled delivery service," said Kieran Griffin, managing director of CCF.

Jade's complete solution includes up-front consultancy which identified CCF's enterprise mobility requirements, development of the Jump software to ensure that it met the mobility needs of CCF while offering the potential to expand the capabilities of the solution to meet the demands of other companies with the Group, advice, supply and configuration of the Motorola MC75 rugged mobile computers and Intermec PB51 mobile printers, full in-cab installation of the hardware and a full service and support contract.

"We were looking for a solution that allowed CCF to make further developments to meet changing requirements using in-house resources as well as being able to purchase software engineering to supplement internal capabilities. It was also crucial that the solution allowed for flexible integration between CCF and the Travis Perkins Group's existing IT infrastructure. Through Jump, Jade met these key requirements," added Mr Griffin.

Jump has replaced CCF's previous paper based delivery process which required drivers to work with printed manifests and obtain handwritten proof of delivery notes, which could not be reconciled with orders until they were returned to the branch office.

"Jump provides us with accurate real-time data of when our drivers arrive at drops and when they leave. This visibility means that if a customer wants pre-delivery information we can now access this accurate real-time information through Jump's integration with our back office systems," explained Robin Proctor, supply chain director for the Travis Perkins Group. "Crucially, for us, once the unloading process has been completed the driver obtains an electronic signature which is then transmitted to CCF's back office systems. Confirmation of delivery details can then be made immediately available to our customers."

Travis Perkins is looking to roll out the CCF solution across its other companies. "The core solution will remain the same, however, the Jump software platform will allow us to tailor it as necessary to accommodate the specific mobility requirements of our various businesses," concluded Mr Griffin.
