LONDON: Nicholls and Clarke celebrated its 136th birthday last month. Established in 1875 as a builders' merchant in Shoreditch, the company is now a manufacturer, distributor and retailer of building materials.
The Nicholls and Clarke Group, includes N&C Nicobond, N&C Phlexicare, N&C Building Materials, N&C Olympus, N&C Moderna and N&C Glass.
"The company was the 140th company registered in the UK and from inventing ready mix tile adhesive back in 1958, to introducing Plastic Ply, the 2mm timber reinforcing sheet in 2009, N&C continues to offer innovative new products and solutions to the market," the company says.
