LEAMINGToN SPA: Twelve Plumb Center customers earned themselves an all-expenses paid trip to Verona courtesy of boiler manufacturer Sime recently.

The ‘Race to Verona’ promotion, which ran between September 2010 and May 2011, involved registering the purchase of Sime commercial boilers on a dedicated website and those that met the specified target criteria qualified for the luxury trip.

The trip included accommodation in a 5-star hotel near Lake Garda, powerboat rides on the lake, a fabulous 10 course dinner at a restaurant alongside the magnificent amphitheatre in Verona and a trip to Vapolicella ‘Dante’s’ vineyard with guided tour followed by dinner.

Partners were also able to go on the trip and were given the opportunity to enjoy a day shopping in Verona, whilst the rest of the party went on a trip to the Sime factory and then visited the Ducati factory and museum.

The trip was the inspiration of Sime, which has its headquarters in Verona. Paul Linley, Sime’s managing director, said: “It’s great to be able to reward the hard work that is being done up and down the country by our loyal customers and what better way than by taking them to the fabulous part of the world where our boilers are manufactured.

“We’ll be arranging another installer promotion to reward our loyal customers in 2012, details of which will be released early next year.”

Plumb Center’s development director - commercial plumbing, Richard Virr, added. “We work very hard to ensure that our commercial partners develop lasting relationships with our customers. A promotion such as Sime’s Race to Verona enables customers to spend time getting to know the manufacturer and also gives them the opportunity to see the quality of the workmanship at the factory, ask any questions and, of course, learn about new products and innovations first-hand.

Alan Howarth of Process Mechanical concluded: “This has been a fantastic chance to get to know Sime better and to actually see the boilers being put together on the production line really does reinforce my view of the company and their products. They have great pride in their Italian heritage and the fact it is a family run business.

They are passionate about the quality of their products and value their customers highly, which comes across in everything they do.”
