LEAMINGTON SPA: Karen Witts joins the Wolseley board as non-executive director. She will also become a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
Ms Witts, 48, is Vodafone Group's chief financial officer for Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific, a position she has held since June 2010.
She previously worked for more than 10 years in a number of financial and general management positions at BT Group, most recently as chief financial officer of BT Retail.
Gareth Davis, chairman of Wolseley, said in a statement: "We are delighted to welcome Karen to the Wolseley team. Karen brings a great deal of corporate and financial experience, having worked in a range of senior roles handling complex issues in global businesses. We look forward to working with her."
