NORTHAMPTON: PTS is marking the fifth year of its comprehensive spares service by opening its 175th trade counter outlet.

PTS spares was launched in 2006 with its nationwide outlets offering 1200 products as standard. In addition to serving independent installers at its branches, PTS also supplies spares to leading companies in the energy and social housing sector.

Martyn Farrelly, the merchant's spares operations director, said: "Our spares service has continued to grow year-on-year and the opening of the 175th branch is a big achievement.

"To provide the best possible service, we developed a dedicated spares distribution centre. This ensures excellent availability in addition to the local support received through business development managers. Our spares service is an important part of the PTS business and we're confident of a successful and busy heating season."

Adding to the celebration, PTS recently launched what is claimes is a unique piece of software for the identification of spare parts called MiSPARES.

Easily accessed through a smart phone or hand held device, the program has been designed so that installers can find and order parts while on site.
