CARLISLE: Wolseley UK Integrated Services has a five-year contract with Riverside Property Services to procure materials for 6000 homes in the Carlisle area.

The new contract was set up through a procurement framework which identified that an integrated stores hub could save Riverside up to 30% on Riverside material costs and efficiency savings.

Riverside Property Services manager Pam Birks said: "Riverside has a commitment to investing in the 6,000 homes it manages in the Carlisle district. With an anticipated 2.5m spend on planned maintenance, repairs and improvements each year, this five-year partnership with Wolseley UK Integrated Services to procure materials and will ensure value for money is obtained for local tenants."

Andrew Harnick, regional trading manager for Wolseley UK Integrated Services, said: "The partnership with Riverside will deliver a bespoke service for the management of stores, people and stock in Carlisle and will have a huge impact achieving smart solutions, efficiency and cost savings."
